Come the Fourth of July, those living outside of Florissant will have to pay more to enjoy the pools.
Florissant City Council amended the nonresident pool fees of Bangert Pool and Koch Family Aquatic Center Monday night. Youth, ages 4-17, and adults will now pay $10 and $12, respectively, for the daily rate, which is double the current rate.
The increase is to make the pools comparable to surrounding area prices such as Hazelwood's White Birch Bay.
Pool pass prices will also be increased.
The new prices will go into effect July 1.
Tuesday, Patch spoke to residents and nonresidents at Koch Aquatic Center about the fee increase.
