Chris,
I hope I don't get in trouble for recommending something outside of Brentwood! But here goes.
I think Milagro Modern Mexican is a great place (if your father in law likes Mexican food). They offer upscale Mexican food without being pretentious about it.
If you're into pizza, a really good sitdown place is Dewey's. There's a location in UCity (on North & South), and there's also one in Webster Groves. Dewey's has amazing pizza -- lots of innovative toppings.
What kind of food does your father in law like? I have a lot more places I could recommend, but it depends on what he enjoys eating. :)

Hey Stephanie,
Random question but a toughie; if you were a groom that was setting up a non pretentious lunch for your father-in-law, what place would you reccomend in the metro area and-or Maplewood/Brentwood? He is from Orlando if that helps.
Thanks
