Linda Goldstein has served the Clayton community as a City official for thirteen years. Before being elected Clayton’s first woman mayor in April 2007, she served as a Ward II alderman for eight years. She also served for two years as President of the Clayton Recreation Sports and Wellness Commission, the governing board of The Center of Clayton. Her political service includes serving for five years as a Director on the Executive Board of the St. Louis County Municipal League.

Goldstein is also active in non-profit activities. She is currently a Director on the Board of the Central Institute for the Deaf. She has served as Vice President of The St. Louis Forum Board, and, during her tenure as President of the Board of The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis, Goldstein oversaw the organization’s capital campaign and facility expansion. Awards include the St. Louis Business Journal’s 25 Most Influential Women in Business in 2002, the Coro Leadership Center’s Outstanding Alumni Award in 2004, and the Winning Women’s Public Service award in 2009. She has been named as one of the Most Influential St. Louisans by the St. Louis Business Journal since 2008.

In addition to her duties as an elected official and her work in the non-profit community, Goldstein is the General Manager of CI Select Flooring Solutions, a commercial flooring contractor. The company furnishes and installs flooring products as well as provides restoration and maintenance services for floors, furniture and fabrics.

Goldstein is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from St. Louis University.
