Florissant Teen Helped Burglarize Neighbor's Home, Police Say

Florissant Police said Cody Garcia-Mauer acted as a lookout as another person broke into the home

An 18-year-old Florissant man faces criminal charges after police said he participated in a burglary at his neighbor’s home March 15. Cody Garcia-Mauer, 18, of the 2100 block of Crane Drive in Florissant, was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and misdemeanor stealing. Florissant Police said Garcia-Mauer acted as a lookout as another person broke into a house in the 2100 block of Crane Drive near Garcia-Mauer’s home on March 15. Police said a television and other items were stolen. Garcia-Mauer was being held Thursday in Florissant jail. Bail was set at $15,000. Neighbors Spot Man Carrying TV and Laptop, Leads to Arrest of Suspect

Florissant Police responding to a call for suspicious people in the neighborhood make arrest for burglary in 200 block of Boone Street.

Witnesses spotted a Florissant man carrying a television and laptop from a home on Boone Street toward his residence on Monday, Florissant Police said. Deon B. Green, 17, of the 500 block of Christina Lane in Florissant, was charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. Florissant Police said Green entered the home and took a flat-screen television and a Toshiba laptop. Police responded to a call for suspicious men in the neighborhood and arrested Green for the burglary soon afterward. Green was being held in St. Louis County jail Friday. Bail was set at $7,500. Watchful neighbors are a great help tio our community and police. It's a shame things have come to the state where you can't leave home without getting ripped off. It happened to us. What a sad world our children & grandchildren are growwing up in. Get tough on crooks & maybe things will change. Like make themwork to repay people who they've harmed.
