A Look Back: Class of '52 Opens Time Capsule at Former Ferguson Jr. High
Seven members of the eighth-grade graduating class of 1953 joined current and former students and staff for special presentation at meeting of FFSD Board of Education.
A group of eighth-grade students placed a time capsule in the former Ferguson Junior High School in 1952 during its construction, and a few members of the class returned to retrieve their memories on Jan. 9. At the January meeting of the Ferguson-Florissant School District’s board of education, the time capsule was reopened at Ferguson Middle School. More than 150 alumni, current and former staff, students, families and members of the community attended the event. Former class president, John Schultz, and another member of the class, Richard Carden, presented a poster to the Ferguson-Florissant Board of Education containing group photos of the classes that placed the time capsule.
