North County Man Charged in Sunswept Apartment Shooting

A man was charged in an Aug. 6 shooting at Sunswept Apartments in North County. St. Louis County Police said Lonnie L. Brown, 29, shot at and hit man at Sunswept Apartments at about 7:58 p.m. Aug. 6. Brown, of the 2500 block of Woodsage Drive, was charged Wednesday with first-degree assault with serious physical injury and armed criminal action. St. Louis County Police said Brown knocked on an door at he apartment complex in the 3100 block of Sunswept Park Drive where the victim was visiting. The two men walked down a flight of steps in the building. Police said Brown then pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the man and fired a shot.
