Florissant Councilman Wins Democratic State House Seat Bid
Keith English faces Republican Rekha Sharma in the November general election.
Ward 4 City Councilman Keith English has defeated Rep. Bert Atkins in the state representative race for District 68. English defeated the incumbent 2,226 to 1,532. Candidate Todd Hoffman received 10 percent of the vote. “I want to take this leadership to the state level, where I think I can make an impact to North County,” English said in an earlier interview with Florissant Patch. “I think that North County has been looked over for many years for state money.” Rep. Atkins represented the 75th District until the latest redistricting due to 2010 census. English will face Republican candidate Rekha Sharma in the Nov. 6 general election.
