Hail, Thunderstorms Sweep Through Florissant, St. Louis
Described as "baseball size" by the National Weather Service, Florissant got pelted by rain and hail Saturday afternoon.
Thunder and hailstorms moved through Florissant and the St. Louis area Saturday afternoon and leaving damage in its wake. Several area residents on Facebook and Twitter have reported hail damage on their cars and windows. According to the Ameren website, a little more than 60 residents in the area have power outages. The thunderstorm watch is set to expire at 7 p.m. Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service, but it looks like it could return Sunday afternoon with a 60 percent of thundershowers. We got lots of golf ball sized hail that was hitting us hard over by St. Ferdinand. They boys loved watching them bounce around. We'll be checking our roof soon!   more ›
