Man Robbed of Air Jordans at Eagan Center, Police Say

Florissant Police said the men arranged to meet at Florissant's Civic Center to sell and buy the shoes.

A 17-year-old Florissant man robbed another man of his Air Jordan shoes Friday at the James J. Eagan Center. Florissant Police said the owner agreed to meet Kirby C. Butler at the Eagan Center to sell him the shoes. Butler took the shoes and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the man, police said. He then told the victim to look the other way and he fled. Butler, of the 2300 block of Palomino Lane in Florissant, was charged Monday with first-degree robbery. Police said the victim identified Butler as the robber. Butler is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond. For more crime information on Florissant Patch, see the following information:

Joe I appreciate your point. 1st degree robbery includes being armed with a deadly weapon or with what appears to be a deadly weapon. I just can't believe the serious nature of crimes being committed by kids of high school age.   more ›

Target Remodel in Full Swing

The changes to the store, which include the addition of fresh groceries, should be completed on July 21.

When driving past Target lately, you might have noticed the addition of several crates of construction materials in the parking lot and a sign that states "Open during remodel" draped on the outside of the building. The store is in the process of undergoing a major renovation, which most notably includes the addition of fresh groceries--vegetables, fruit, bakery, dairy and meat--to the products available at the Florissant location. "Our guests continue to ask for groceries that expand to fresh items," said Kristin Jahnke, a spokesperson for Target. Liz Wassell, the Florissant store's executive team leader for the remodel, said the changes to the store are coming in waves. Already completed are the new Target Café and the new electronics …
