At this final meeting before Thanksgiving, the Hazelwood School District Board of Education will also award a bid for shingle roof replacement at an HSD facility.

The bigger matter of business Tuesday will be several district staff reports on a plethora of subjects including the district's STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) program; the Assessment Literacy Strategy, which involves how students comprehend the way teachers assess (grade) them on classwork and project; and an update on parent involvement in the classroom. At it's last meeting, the HSD Board of Education requested Dwight Lindhorst, assistant superintendent for finance and facilities, present a budget update on $9 million surplus of funds that were discovered in August.
