Police: Florissant Man Beaten in Bar Fight Has Died

Randy Feger passed away Tuesday evening.

The Florissant man who was beaten in a bar fight over a washers game has died, according to a report from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Randy Feger, a 44-year-old father-of-four, had been in critical condition since the Nov. 8 incident in which he and a Hazelwood man got into a physical confrontation at Pirates Cove Bar & Grill during the washers tournament being held behind the bar. Feger was taken off life support last week and continued to breathe on his own, though he reportedly remained in a mostly unresponsive state, leaving his family, friends and the community hoping for a miracle. Friends, Former Classmates Step Up to Help Randy Feger's Family as He Fights for His Life

Hazelwood West alums have set up a community fundraiser page to help the father-of-four and his family as he struggles to survive a recent bar fight over a washers game.

After Florissant resident Randy Feger sustained a life-threatening head injury in a recent physical confrontation at a local pub, he was removed from life support. Though he remained in a coma, the father-of-four continued to fight for his life. Now, the community is pulling together to help Feger and his family financially as they prepare for the financial burden his injuries will bring. The Hazelwood West Alumni organization is spearheading the fundraiser. “Any donation you make to the Randy Feger Family Fund will help ease the burden for the Feger family down the road,” the organizers said on their fundraiser page at YouCaring.com. “We will continue to have Randy in our thoughts and prayers.
