'No New Information' Concerning Randy Feger's Case, Police Say

In response to requests from the community, Patch reached out to local police for an update in the case of the father-of-four who lost his life in a local bar last year.

Since the death of  Randy Feger, the Florissant man who died after sustaining critical injuries during an altercation at a local bar, the community has been holding its breath, waiting to hear whether the suspect has been charged or arrested.  “The Feger case is still under active investigation,” Florissant police officer Andy Haarmann told Patch on Dec. 5. “There are certain things that the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office wanted before they were going to consider charges.”  Haarmann added that the department has remained in contact with the other party who was involved in the fight. “We do not believe that he is a flight risk at this time,” he said. Updates on Randy Feger’s Case As readers have continued to reach out to …

I seem to agree with you, Ashley. From what I have read about this whole situation, is that this guys friends assumed he was passed out due to his drinking and first threw water in his face to wake him up. His girlfriend then assumed when they got home that he was passed out drunk, so she left him in the car until he could sober up and come inside. Therefore, it seems pretty obvious that he was …   more ›

Randy Feger’s Daughter Speaks Out, Demands Justice: “My Dad Was a Great Man”

Taylor Ann posted several comments in response to Patch articles about her father’s injuries and death, sharing memories of his life and feelings about his passing. Plus, Patch asks for your help in creating a memorial for the beloved Florissant man.

“My dad was a great man,” Randy Feger’s daughter Taylor Ann wrote about her father. “He was standing up for one of our family members when this guy did what he did to him.” Feger died last month after he sustained injuries in a physical confrontation at Pirates Cove Bar & Grill. Taylor went on to say that her dad “wasn’t one to start fights,” and that he didn’t drink a lot, adding that drinking had nothing to do with what happened to him. “I know a man who saw the other man run away,” she said. “It hurts, seeing as though I have no parents anymore and seeing that both my parents were murdered. We buried my father yesterday. What if it had been your dad?” Other family members commented as well, one noting that Feger’s family didn’t have any…

What Really Happened to Randy Feger?

As rumors swirl around the death of the beloved Florissant resident and father-of-four, many say the media isn’t telling the whole story. We’ve compiled what several sources say is the truth. Do you agree? Join the discussion.

As the community reels from the news of Randy Feger’s death, many Florissant residents are left wondering what really happened. Several local people agree that that the “media isn’t telling the whole story” when it comes to exactly what happened to Randy Ferger, the Florissant man who passed away Tuesday evening after being beaten at Pirates Cove Bar & Grill last week. “So ruthless and senseless,” posted Cindy Forguson on the Florissant Patch Facebook page. “I really hope the suspect is charged with this ruthless crime. God love his kids and family!” While most don’t seem to want to go “on the record” about what they know, plenty of people are talking about it, and many have very strong beliefs and opinions on what really happened to …

This story saddens me. I did not really know Randy well. He seemed like a nice guy. To the family, I wish I could do more for you than offer my sincerest condolences. Justice will be done in this life or the next. Hopefully both. This "Tom" needs to suffer. To Those who are trying to point blame at the girlfriend or anyone other than Tom, What is wrong in your twisted little minds that makes …   more ›

Police: Florissant Man Beaten in Bar Fight Has Died

Randy Feger passed away Tuesday evening.

The Florissant man who was beaten in a bar fight over a washers game has died, according to a report from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Randy Feger, a 44-year-old father-of-four, had been in critical condition since the Nov. 8 incident in which he and a Hazelwood man got into a physical confrontation at Pirates Cove Bar & Grill during the washers tournament being held behind the bar. Feger was taken off life support last week and continued to breathe on his own, though he reportedly remained in a mostly unresponsive state, leaving his family, friends and the community hoping for a miracle. But Feger passed away on Tuesday evening. According to a post from Florissant Patch reader Don Houston on our Facebook page, Feger’s cousin posted on …

Friends, Former Classmates Step Up to Help Randy Feger's Family as He Fights for His Life

Hazelwood West alums have set up a community fundraiser page to help the father-of-four and his family as he struggles to survive a recent bar fight over a washers game.

After Florissant resident Randy Feger sustained a life-threatening head injury in a recent physical confrontation at a local pub, he was removed from life support. Though he remained in a coma, the father-of-four continued to fight for his life. Now, the community is pulling together to help Feger and his family financially as they prepare for the financial burden his injuries will bring. The Hazelwood West Alumni organization is spearheading the fundraiser. “Any donation you make to the Randy Feger Family Fund will help ease the burden for the Feger family down the road,” the organizers said on their fundraiser page at YouCaring.com. “We will continue to have Randy in our thoughts and prayers. So far, a few businesses have come forward …
