Man Charged With Grocery Store Robbery on Old Halls Ferry

Police arrested the man shortly after the robbery at Shop 'n Save, according to court documents.

A man faces criminal charges after Ferguson Police said he robbed the Shop ‘n Save on Old Halls Ferry Road Thursday. Police said Cedric V. Ramsey, 32, of the 600 block of Cheltenham Road in Black Jack, said a cashier was checking out when Ramsey came up behind her and said, “Give me the (expletive) money.” The cashier told police that he pressed something that might have been a handgun against her back. She gave him all the cash in her drawer, totaling $349. Ferguson Police said Ramsey had the money when he was arrested shortly after the robbery. Ramsey was charged Friday with first-degree robbery.
