Holidays remained relatively quiet throughout last week.
Jan. 1 Unfortunately, a few residents rang in the New Year with a burglary in their residence. A second-degree burglary took place in the 700 block of Jamaica Place on New Year's Day. Suspect(s) forced a carport door window open for entry and stole a laptop, camera and jewelry. No suspects have been taken into custody or named at this time.
