A St. Louis man was pronounced dead following a fatal car accident near Florissant on Saturday night.
A 41-year-old man from St. Louis died Saturday night in a fatal car accident along Interstate 270 near Florissant. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, James Yount was driving along I-270, just west of West Florissant Avenue when he traveled off the left side of the highway, struck a concrete barrier and overturned his car, which ejected him from the vehicle. Young was rushed to DePaul Hospital but was pronounced dead after arriving. A passenger in the car, a 40-year-old female, sustained minor injuries during the accident. Neither person was wearing a safety belt, the highway patrol said.

Oberndorfer was taken to St. Joseph East Hospital in St. Charles via ambulance. According to the highway patrol, Oberndorfer was wearing a helmet.

Gwendolyn F. Hopson was killed in a car crash in St. Charles County on Wednesday morning.
A 53-year-old Florissant woman died early Wednesday morning after losing control of her car on an icy patch of Highway 364 in St. Charles County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gwendolyn F. Hopson, 53, was pronounced dead at 7:03 a.m. after a crash on westbound Highway 364. The Highway Patrol report said that Hopson was in the third lane of westbound Highway 364 when she lost control of her 1999 Kia Sportage because of ice on the roadway. The vehicle travelled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Hopson, who wasn't wearing a safety device, was ejected. The 17-year-old was driving on Route 67 when he drove off the side of the road, hit a pole and overturned his car.
A 17-year-old teenager from Florissant escaped a frightening accident in West Alton on Tuesday evening with just minor scrapes and bruises. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Geoffrey Ferguson, 17, of Florissant, was driving southbound on Route 67, just north of Highway 94, in West Alton when he lost control of his car, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a pole and overturned the car. The car—a 1997 Toyota Camry—was totaled, while Ferguson suffered minor injuries. He was taken via ambulance to DePaul Hospital. According to the highway patrol, Ferguson was wearing a seatbelt.

Beaul Haynes was walking from a car already involved in an accident—a 2002 Toyota Tacoma—when a 2011 Hyundai Sonata driving along I-270 hit Haynes, who was sent to Barnes Hospital with serious injuries.
A 71-year-old Bridgeton man was announced dead after being struck by two cars on Interstate 270 in Florissant on Saturday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Beaul Haynes was walking from a car already involved in an accident—a 2002 Toyota Tacoma—when a 2011 Hyundai Sonata driving along I-270 hit Haynes. The Sonata then swerved off the right side of the highway and struck a sign. A third car driving along the highway—a 2010 Honda Civic—then hit the Tacoma and also hit Haynes. Haynes was taken by Florissant Valley Fire Protection District ambulance to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. All three cars in the accident had moderate damage.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, Christopher Thornburgh was driving too fast on Stracks Church Road in Warrent County when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right side of the road. Thornburgh's 2000 Ford Escort then struck a tree. A passenger in Thornburgh's car, identified by the highway patrol as Kimberlee Golden, 28, of Wright City, sustained minor injuries.

Florissant man helicoptered to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis with serious injuries following car accident near West Alton.
A 27-year-old man from Florissant was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after the car he was driving early Sunday morning was totaled in a car accident near West Alton. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, Alfred Reese wasd driving his 1997 Volkswagon Golf southbound on Highway 67 at 1 a.m. on Dec. 23 when he traveled off the right side of the road and overturned his car. Reese was soon thereafter taken to Barnes Hospital by helicopter with serious injuries. Reese was later charged with DWI while being held at the hospital, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest reports.

Aaron Galucia drove off I-70 before striking a sign, overturning his trucka and running into a tree.
A 30-year-old Florissant man was injured Tuesday when he crashed his car into a tree. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Aaron Galucia was driving his 2005 Dodge Ram northbound on Interstate 70, just north of St. Charles Rock Road, when he traveled off the interstate, struck a sign, overturned and then struck a tree. Galucia was charged with DWI after the accident, according to the highway patrol's arrest reports. Galucia suffered minor injuries and was taken to DePaul Hospital by amulance. His truck was totalled.

Kevin Wildhaber and his passenger suffered moderate injuries after being ejected from a bike.
A Florissant man and his passenger suffered moderate injuries in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 70 Saturday afternoon. On eastbound I-70, Kevin Wildhaber, of Florissant, and his passenger, Sandra Bowman rode on a 2005 Swift Custom Chopper. The traffic was slowed down due to a disabled car that was not properly parked in the left lane, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol report. As the chopper slowed down, it slid out of control and threw both driver and passenger off of the bike. Northeast Fire Protection District transported both to Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Bethany Allen's car was hit by rocks after a car lost control on the opposing side of the highway.
A Florissant resident was involved in a car crash Friday evening on Interstate 55, south of Route M. A 2007 Dodge Durango was headed North on I-55 when the driver lost control due to the wet road and hit a cable median, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report. Bethany Allen, of Florissant, drove a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, which was going in the opposite direction on south I-55, and was hit by rocks from the Durango. Minor damage was done to Allen’s car, according to the report. A passenger of the Durango was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. All wore seat belts, according to the report.
