The Council could take the final vote on the proposed amendment to the development Monday night.
Along with swearing in a new councilman Monday night, the Florissant City Council could take on the final vote of the Walmart proposed amendment. Jeff Caputa who captured the Ward 4 council seat will be sworn in during the council meeting. Caputa fills the vacated seat of Keith English, who won the District 68 state representative seat in November. The Council will also look at the proposed amendment to Walmart, which would alter the site’s rotation as well as change other site aspects. Jeff Caputa is the sole candidate to replace former Councilman Keith English.
In 2011, Jeff Caputa lost the Ward 4 council seat to then-incumbent Keith English, but this time around, he looks to have a good chance in winning. Caputa is the only one who filed for the vacant council seat, Florissant City Clerk Karen Goodwin wrote in an email to Patch. English vacated the seat after winning the District 68 state representative seat in November. "It was a surprise to me that I ran unopposed," Caputa said.
