Mayor Schneider and more than 300 North County Christian students helped send more than 10,000 meals across the ocean.
Students from North County Christian School and Florissant Mayor Thomas P, Schneider recently joined forces in a project to help feed hungry children in Jamaica. The mayor and the 335 North County Christian students participated in a one-day event they dubbed the Feed the Need Fundraising Event. Students packed, sealed and boxed more than 10,000 meals, which were then shipped and distributed to hungry children in Jamaica. School Superintendent Dr. Greg Clark was the event coordinator. The Mayor's office said Clark wanted the students to learn about the problem of world hunger-then participate in the solution.
