The City of Florissant and Meridian Waste work together to dispose of day-after Christmas garbage.
Are you wondering what to do with all of your worn-out holiday decorations? Or are you overwhelmed with a large pile of used wrapping paper from Christmas Day's unwrapping fiasco? The City of Florissant and Meridian Waste are working together to help you get rid of excess "Christmas crap" this winter. According to a press release, Florissant has recently partnered with Meridian to provide a recycling container specifically for worn-out or broken holiday lights at the city's Recycling Center at St. Ferdinand Park. Florissant Health Department clerk Kathy Earles said that wrapping paper - as well as any attached tape or ribbon - could be recycled along with cardboard gift boxes or paper gift bags.
