Kenneth L. Roberts Jr, was found guilty of two counts of forcible sodomy, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and felonious restraint.
A North County man received 110 years in prison for forcibly sodomizing two women and hitting one of them in the head with a bottle. St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Mark D. Seigel sentenced Kenneth L. Roberts Jr, 24, to 15 years each on one count of forcible sodomy, armed criminal action and two counts of first-degree assault. He also sentenced Roberts to 25 years for a second forcible sodomy charge, 20 years on the second armed criminal action charge and five years for felonious restraint. Seigel ran each sentence consecutively, totaling 110 years in prison. A jury found Roberts guilty on all charges Feb. 27. Police said the man, Corey B. McClendon, frequented the first block of South Florissant area in Ferguson in 2011.
A man faces criminal charges after Ferguson Police said he trapped a 14-year-old boy in a stairwell, choked and forced the boy to have sex. Corey B. McClendon, 39, of the 6300 block of Witsell Avenue in Berkeley, was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy and kidnapping. Ferguson Police said McClendon trapped the boy in a stairwell in a building in the first block of South Florissant Road Dec. 28, 2011. According to a police report, McClendon confined the boy “without his consent for a substantial period.” Police said McClendon frequented the area in the first block of South Florissant Road. A North County man faces sex crime charges after police said he tried to sodomize a woman last May. Garimee A. Cline, 23, of the 1600 block of Emerald Creek Court off Shackelford Road in unincorporated North County, was charged Thursday with attempted forcible sodomy, sexual abuse and second-degree sexual misconduct. St. Louis County Police said Cline twice exposed his genitals to a woman, a stranger to him. On May 11, he also grabbed the same woman by the buttocks and breast and tried to force her to touch his penis. Cline is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail has been set at $100,000.
