Florissant Police Blotter: Florissant Homes, Business Burglarized

The first day of August kept police busy around town.

July 31 A Ford was stolen in the 1800 block of Tahoe. Aug. 1 A residential burglary took place in the 100 block of South New Florissant Rd. A commercial burglary occurred in the 2700 block of North US Highway 67. A GMC vehicle was taken in the 1300 block of Dunn Rd. A stealing incident happened in the 2400 block of Pheasant. Aug. 2 A residential burglary happened in the 200 block of Countryside.

Florissant Police Blotter: Burglaries, Thefts Appear Common Last Week

Several burglaries and car thefts happened last week in Florissant.

March 26 A stealing incident occurred in the 1000 block of Wooden Drive. Cell phones and GPS devices were stolen from three cars at a townhouse complex. Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 1900 block of Flamingo. The burglar entered by forcing open a kitchen window and took iPods, a camera, an electronic game system and a bike. An attempted burglary happened in the 2700 block of Blue Heron when a rear sliding door was broken but no one entered. A witness saw two men at the back door of the residence.  March 28 A second-degree burglary occurred in the 2000 block of Thunderbird where cash was stolen.  March 29 Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 1000 block of Grenoble. Florissant Police Blotter: Concession Stand Robbed for Keg of Beer

Several car break-ins also occurred during the past week in Florissant.

March 13 Police responded to an attempted car theft in the 800 block of South Lafayette and found the ignition punched. Police arrested a 16 year old for stealing from a car in the 200 block of Duquette. The juvenile stole a purse from an unlocked car, and police later found him in the 800 block of Derhake, where they also discovered all of the victim’s property. The juvenile is being held in the St. Louis County Family Court Detention Center. March 14 A first-degree burglary occurred in the 2600 block of Northridge Place. The burglar entered through a rear sliding door and took a bike. March 15 Police responded to a first-degree burglary in the 1600 block of Swallow. Florissant Police Blotter: Robbery, Stealing Cases Happen Close to Each Other

Two incidents occur along New Halls Ferry along with a number of car thefts.

March 5 Police responded to a case of felony stealing in the 12700 block of New Halls Ferry. Approximately $7,000 worth of electronic music equipment, which belonged to a church, was taken from a banquet hall. According to the report, police have identified a possible suspect and are searching for the person. March 6 Someone stole a red and black 2005 Honda 1000 motorcycle in the 2700 block of North Highway 67.  March 8 A second-degree burglary occurred in the 3000 block of Country Green. The burglar forced open the apartment’s door and stole a flat-screen TV and cash. Police responded to a first-degree robbery in the 12700 block of New Halls Ferry. Jan. 7 led the way for a great deal of crime in Florissant last week.

Jan. 4 Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 1000 block of Grenoble. The thief entered by removing the glass of a side door and stole a flat-screen TV, jewelry, camera and a gaming system. A motor vehicle theft occurred in the 200 block of North Highway 67. The person stole the car from a used car sales business after asking for the keys to look at it. The man started the car and took off with it on southbound Lindbergh. The vehicle is a black 2006 Dodge Charger.  Jan. 7 Police discovered a burglary of copper pipe in a vacant residence in the 1000 block of Rogers. A burglary occurred at 700 Robinwood. The burglaries have become common place all over the St. Louis area. I like the published info on the crimes. Can we start a report of the arrests so we can feel better about where we live? Florissant Police Blotter

Police apprehended a number of suspects last week.

Nov. 22 The police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 800 block of North Castello. Thieves broke the side door to enter the residence and stole jewelry and a gun.  A first-degree robbery took place in the 3200 block of Cross Keys Drive. Two men robbed a woman at gunpoint on the parking lot of an apartment complex and took her purse. According to the report, the men were in their late teens and fled the scene in a dark blue, four-door car. A 1995 burgundy GMC van was stolen in the 1200 block of Grandview Gardens Court. According to the police report, the car had a Missouri license plate and it read KC9-Z4U. Nov. 23 A Florissant man died from his injuries following a car accident.
