Florissant Man Burglarized Church, Home and Business, Police Say

Florissant, St. Louis County Police said the man stole computers, golf clubs, cash and a car.

A Florissant man faces criminal charges for three burglaries and a car theft for breaking into a business, a house and a church. Jermaine Williamson, 26, of the 100 block of Brower Lane in Florissant, was charged Jan. 30 with two counts of second-degree burglary, felony theft and stealing a car. He also was charged Jan. 31 with second-degree burglary and felony theft. Florissant Police said Williamson broke into GMT Auto Sales in the 200 block of North Highway 67 in Florissant at about 4:50 p.m. Jan. 3 and took keys to a 2011 Chevrolet Impala. He then located the car and stole it, police said. Police said he broke into a home Jan. 19 in the 300 block of St. Charles Street in Florissant, and stole three laptops and a set of golf clubs. …

UPDATE -- Crime Map: Florissant Burglaries Since Beginning of 2012

We're keeping track of the burglaries committed throughout Florissant this year.

As burglaries remain one of the highest crimes in Florissant, next to stealing and property damage, we're keeping track of the crimes throughout 2012.  We'll update the map each week with the latest crimes for residents to see.  The above burglaries reflect those from Jan. 1 to the end of September this year. The burglaries through May are from weekly crime releases, while the crimes through August reflect data and information from the monthly crime reports, available on the police department's website. Police Blotter: Two Cars Stolen Last Week in Florissant

Sept. 28 Police responded to a residential burglary in the 200 block of W. St. Anthony. A stealing incident occurred in the 3900 block of Meadowland. Sept. 30 A car was stolen in the 1100 block of St. Mark. Oct. 1 A robbery occurred in the 700 block of N. Highway 67. A commercial burglary happened in the 3300 block of N. Highway 67. Police responded to a residential burglary in the 1800 block of Apple Blossom. Oct. 4 An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 1400 block of South Waterford. Someone reported a car theft in the 2700 block of North Highway 67.

Police Blotter: Keeven Lane Gets Struck Twice by Burglaries

A number of other burglaries and car thefts happened in Florissant that week.

Sept. 21 A residential burglary occurred in the 200 block of Paul. Sept. 23 Police responded to a residential burglary in the 1000 block of Keeven. Sept. 24 A residential burglary happened in the 1000 block of Keeven. A motor vehicle theft occurred in the 1100 block of Dunn. Sept. 26 A robbery occurred in the 1900 block of Derhake. A residential burglary occurred in the 2000 block of St. Catherine. Police responded to a motor vehicle theft in the 3000 block of Country Green. A motor vehicle theft occurred in the 600 block of St. Marie.

Two areas see criminals twice in the same week, while other areas remain hot spots for burglars.

Sept. 15 A residential burglary took place in the 700 block of Central Parkway. Police responded to a residential burglary in the 1st block of Brightmoor. A residential burglary occurred in the 1500 block of Vesper. Sept. 16 A stealing incident happened in the 8100 block of North Lindbergh. Police responded to a burglary in the 1100 block of Derhake. Sept. 17 A stealing incident occurred in the 1000 block of Shackelford. A residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of Paddock. A residential burglary took place in the 1500 block of Vesper. Sept. 18 Police responded to a residential burglary in the 1000 block of Shackelford Sept. 20 A residential burglary happened in the 2400 block of Allen.

Florissant Police Blotter: City Experiences a Rash of Burglaries

Last week was filled with a number of burglaries throughout the Florissant area.

Sept. 7 A residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Flordawn Sept. 9 A residential burglary took place in the 2300 block of Cherry Police responded to a residential burglary in the 800 block of Keeven. Sept. 10 A residential burglary occurred in the 1300 block of Carmona. Police responded to a residential burglary in the 800 block of Thompson. Sept. 12 A residential burglary took place in the 500 block of Pelican Cove. Sept. 13 Police responded to a residential burglary in the 100 block of Comanche A residential burglary occurred in the 4000 block of Meadowland.
