Florissant Ward 4 Election is a One-Man Race

Jeff Caputa is the sole candidate to replace former Councilman Keith English.

In 2011, Jeff Caputa lost the Ward 4 council seat to then-incumbent Keith English, but this time around, he looks to have a good chance in winning. Caputa is the only one who filed for the vacant council seat, Florissant City Clerk Karen Goodwin wrote in an email to Patch. English vacated the seat after winning the District 68 state representative seat in November. "It was a surprise to me that I ran unopposed," Caputa said. Caputa said he has stayed busy since his defeat in the past election by being elected committeeman for Florissant Township and also serving on the city's traffic and environmental quality commissions.
