A Patch reader says she heard gunshots on Lindsay Lane on Wednesday, but Florissant Police call the report unfounded.
Florissant Patch received a tip from a reader Wednesday regarding an incident she said happened on Lindsay Lane around 1 p.m. "There were gunshots," the reader wrote. "I heard around 5 shots fired." She added that she had been trying to find out what happened, since she lives one street over from Lindsay and was concerned for her family's safety. "When I called the police, they said they already knew about it," the tipster said. Patch contacted Florissant Police officer Andy Haarman, who said the department investigated the incident but it was "unfounded." "No guns, no witnesses, no bullets and no damage," Haarman added. I didn't realize that he shot his way in, Stacey! That is insane. I like your idea of an emergency button. I do know that local school kids are doing intruder drills (much like we did fire and tornado drills back in the day) and have been for awhile. I'm sure they also probably have other precautions in place and will be stepping it up even more now. I totally agree, it starts at home. I did hear…   more ›

As the community reels from the news of Randy Feger’s death, many Florissant residents are left wondering what really happened. Several local people agree that that the “media isn’t telling the whole story” when it comes to exactly what happened to Randy Ferger, the Florissant man who passed away Tuesday evening after being beaten at Pirates Cove Bar & Grill last week. “So ruthless and senseless,” posted Cindy Forguson on the Florissant Patch Facebook page. “I really hope the suspect is charged with this ruthless crime. Read our original story here, including a comment from a neighbor on Sayles' suicide note. The explosion took the home off its foundation, and the fire destroyed it as well as causing damage to a neighboring home.
