One man pointed a gun at the door while three others forced their way into the home, punching and kicking another man, Ferguson Police reported.
Four men forced their way into a Ferguson house Feb. 25 and assaulted the homeowner, police said. Three of the men were charged Feb. 26 with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault. They are: A fourth man, Maurice Boone, 29, of the 100 block of Fenwick Drive in Ferguson, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon. Ferguson Police said Maurice Boone stood in a yard in the 1100 block of Renshaw Drive in Ferguson and pointed a handgun at the man’s door as the others entered the home and assaulted the victim. Rhonda Rhodes is charged with stabbing Bernice Winston to death in Winston's apartment. Rhodes was found in the apartment with Winston's body Thursday morning, police said.
A Ferguson woman faces first-degree murder charges in the stabbing death of her aunt, Bernice Winston on Thursday. Rhonda Rhodes, 50, was charged Friday with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Winston, 60, of Ferguson, was found dead in her apartment Thursday morning, having been stabbed multiple times, according to a Ferguson Police report. Rhodes was found sitting in the apartment, according to Ferguson Police. She is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $250,000. Ferguson Police said John Dailey was one of three men who drove to a location near Hudson Park, where they planned to buy marijuana.
A Black Jack man was charged in connection with a drug deal that ended in a shooting Wednesday at 1271 Hudson Road in Ferguson. John Dailey, 20, of the 13000 block of Mystic Bend Lane in Black Jack, was charged Thursday with first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and tampering with evidence. Ferguson Police said that Dailey was driving with two others to Hudson Park in Ferguson to buy marijuana. Police said that during the transaction, one of the three men pulled out a gun and shot the marijuana dealer as he tried to escape. The man was seriously injured. A man faces criminal charges after Ferguson Police said he trapped a 14-year-old boy in a stairwell, choked and forced the boy to have sex. Corey B. McClendon, 39, of the 6300 block of Witsell Avenue in Berkeley, was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy and kidnapping. Ferguson Police said McClendon trapped the boy in a stairwell in a building in the first block of South Florissant Road Dec. 28, 2011. According to a police report, McClendon confined the boy “without his consent for a substantial period.” Police said McClendon frequented the area in the first block of South Florissant Road. A Ferguson man forced two women at gunpoint to perform sexual acts on two consecutive nights, Ferguson Police said. Gregory Hazlett, 46, of the 1500 block of Somerset Terrace Drive, was charged Tuesday with two counts each of forcible rape, forcible sodomy by displaying a weapon, attempted forcible sodomy and kidnapping, and one count of armed criminal action. Ferguson Police said Hazlett had a handgun and kept a woman from leaving his home, forcing her to have sex with him on Sept. 14. On Sept. 15, he threatened to kill a second woman and would not allow her to leave his home, forcing her to have sex with him, police said. Hazlett is being held in St. Louis County jail. A man faces criminal charges after Ferguson Police said he robbed the Shop ‘n Save on Old Halls Ferry Road Thursday. Police said Cedric V. Ramsey, 32, of the 600 block of Cheltenham Road in Black Jack, said a cashier was checking out when Ramsey came up behind her and said, “Give me the (expletive) money.” The cashier told police that he pressed something that might have been a handgun against her back. She gave him all the cash in her drawer, totaling $349. Ferguson Police said Ramsey had the money when he was arrested shortly after the robbery. Ramsey was charged Friday with first-degree robbery. A suspect in a double murder in Ferguson Aug. 30 turned himself in to police in Minnesota Friday morning. Ferguson Police said that Darnell Vaughn, 19, shot and killed 29-year-old Tasheera Johnson and 30-year-old Claudia Williams in the 1600 block of Norlakes Drive in Ferguson. Both women were shot in the head, according to the court documents. According to Det. Mark Leone, a spokesman for the Ferguson Police Department, Vaughn called 911 early Friday morning and surrendered to police at a Minneapolis-area hotel.
