A Missouri Highway Patrol trooper said Michael Montgomery refused to pull over, leading him on a chase from I-70 and I-270 into St. Charles and back.
A University City man faces criminal charges after Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper reported that he tried to stop the driver for weaving, and pursued his car from Interstate 70 at Interstate 270 into St. Charles County and back into St. Louis County. Michael Montgomery, 30, of the 800 block of Barkley Square in University City, was charged March 29 with second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, driving while intoxicated as a prior offender, driving without a license, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and failure to drive in a single lane. Thomas Gasperoni, of Florissant, ran a red light at Lindbergh and Missouri Bottom Road, causing the collision, according to Bridgeton Police. He is being charged with assault.
A Florissant man faces assault charges after police said he ran a red light, crashing into another car and injuring the driver. Bridgeton Police said Thomas Gasperoni, 31, of the 600 block of Meadowgrass in Florissant was driving while intoxicated. Gasperoni was charged March 5 by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with second-degree assault. Bridgeton Police said witnesses saw Gasperoni driving at a high rate of speed Nov. 27 when he ran a red light at Lindbergh Boulevard and Missouri Bottom Road, crashing into another car. A police pursuit that began in Lake St. Louis, ended when the car rolled over along Highway 40 in Town and Country.
Highway 40 was completely backed up in both directions Friday afternoon after a police pursuit that began in Lake St. Louis ended in Town and Country when the suspect vehicle rolled over along the highway. As you can see from the photos included in this article, numerous police agencies helped assist in the incident that happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday. A North County drove his car into a police patrol car June 14 near Jana Elementary School in Florissant, St. Louis County Police said. Philip Saddler, of the 1500 block of Boardwalk in North County, was charged Friday with leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest. The officer attempted to pull Saddler over for not wearing a seat belt, but Saddler drove away instead, St. Louis County Police said. The officer followed him to 405 Jana Drive, which dead ends at Jana Elementary. Saddler turned around and drove at the police car, striking it and causing $2,635 in damage, according to the police report. Saddler left his car and fled on foot, and tried to run when police arrived at his home, according to court documents. Bail was set …

Robert Schnur, 49, was pronounced dead Friday afternoon after he crashed his car on Interstate 170 near Olive Boulevard.
A 49-year-old Florissant man is dead after he was involved in a fatal single-car accident on Interstate 170 Friday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Robert Schnur was driving northbound on I-170 near Olive Boulevard when he traveled off the right side of the road, drove through a fence and struck a utility pole.
