A driver faces criminal charges after he struck a 6-year-old child in a Hazelwood hotel parking lot and left the scene Feb. 7. Michael Fulton, 52, of the 3900 block of Browning Drive in Florissant, was charged Feb. 8 with leaving the scene of an accident, a class D felony. Hazelwood Police reported that Fulton was driving in the Extended Stay America Hotel parking lot at 7350 Hanley Road when he struck the child with his vehicle. He then fled the scene, according to court documents. Fulton turned himself in to Hazelwood Police later that night, police said. A man faces criminal charges after police said he molested a child between 11 and 13 years old in North County. Steven Keel, 35, of Sauget, IL was charged Friday with four counts of first-degree statutory sodomy. St. Louis County Police said Keel had sexual intercourse four times with a child between Oct. 1, 2010 and Dec. 31, 2011 in Glasgow Village. The child was between 11 and 13 years old at the time, police said. Police reported that Keel initially denied the allegations, but later told a detective, “It’s a possibility that this is true.” Bail was set at $100,000, cash only. A 2014 trial date was set in a Florissant couple’s lawsuit against a Creve Coeur OBGYN practice. The lawsuit claims the couple's child was decapitated during delivery on March 22, 2011. The couple, Arteisha Betts and Travis Ammonette, is suing Midwest Maternal & Fetal Medicine Services, LLC, Signature Medical Group Inc., both in Creve Coeur, as well as Dr. Gilbert Webb and Dr. Susan D. Moore. The lawsuit indicates the doctors involved in the delivery coerced Betts and Ammonette into a vaginal delivery when Moore advised the couple that a Cesarean section was necessary due to the child’s "accelerated abdominal circumference." The FBI is searching for this unidentified man who agents say may have information regarding the sexual exploitation of a child. Have you seen him?
The following information was provided by the St. Louis office of the FBI. The FBI is asking for help identifying the man in these photos. Agents want to locate and speak with him regarding the sexual exploitation of a child. Authorities believe the man may have visited a QT gas station, possibly one in the St. Louis area. St. Louis County Police charged the 22-year-old man with first-degree statutory rape and two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy.
A North County man was charged July 24 with having sex with a child. Brandon A. Edwards, 22, of the 3500 block of Cypress Creek Drive in unincorporated St. Louis County near Florissant, was charged with first-degree statutory rape and two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy. Zachary Cook already faces felony child abuse charges and looks to be facing murder, too.
Local police have begun to seek murder charges against a Florissant man in the death of a three-year old boy. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office charged Zachary T. Cook, 22, of Florissant, with felony child abuse late last week. On May 5, police responded to a report of an injury to a child in the 2400 block of Blue Heron in Florissant. The child suffered a head injury and was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where he died from his injuries on Sunday. The police investigation reveals that the child sustained the injuries after being shaken. In several ways, pets act as our first children.
Like most of our friends, before we had kids we got a dog — our "trial child." She was a Dachshund and just two months old at the time. We picked her because despite having received all her shots that morning, she was still mischievous and played with the curtains and pooped on the carpet in the owner's living room. We named her Abby. Abby was our one and only. We loved her so much. We took her everywhere with us, let her sleep in bed with us and continued to buy her toys, even though it was her mission in life to destroy them.
