Two Men Charged in Patterson Road Burglaries in Florissant

Florissant Police said Cody Garcia-Mauer broke into the Convenience One store Jan. 4 and Arlondo Whitfield joined him in a residential break-in later the same day.

Two men face burglary charges related to thefts along Patterson Road in Florissant. Cody Garcia-Mauer, 18, of the 2100 block of Crane Drive in Florissant, was charged April 8 with two counts each of second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft. Arlondo L. Whitfield, 18, of the 6300 block of Hancock Avenue in Berkeley, was charged April 11 with second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft. Florissant Police said Garcia-Mauer and Whitfield broke into a home in the 400 block of Patterson Rd., Jan. 4 and stole a bottle of liquor, a 12-pack of beer, a drill and a camera. Man Burglarizes Stores Owned by Same Businessman on Consecutive Nights

Florissant Police said the man smashed through doors in both businesses, stole liquor, a cash register and cash.

A man burglarized two Florissant stores owned by the same man on consecutive nights, police said. Florissant Police said that Marqual R. McGee, 21, of the 500 block of South New Florissant Road, broke into the Florissant Kwik Shop, 1253 Dunn Road, at 2:20 a.m. Nov. 1. He stole six 1.75 liter bottles of vodka, police said. The next night, he broke into Gabi’s Liquor at 710 South New Florissant Road and stole a cash register valued at $1,000 and $50 to $60 in cash, police reported. Both times, he got into the store by smashing out the door, police said. A store employee who saw the video surveillance tapes suggested a regular customer might be responsible because he resembled the burglar. Florissant Police said McGee confessed to both …
