Father and Son Broke Man's Nose With Tire Iron and Bat, Police Say

The victim threatened his family Lagrand Benson told St. Louis County Police. He is charged with first-degree assault.

A father and son are accused of hitting another man with a bat and a tire iron Feb. 6 in the parking lot at 11740 West Florissant near New Halls Ferry Road. Lagrand Benson, 54, of the 12500 block of Shoreside Drive in North County, was charged Friday with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. St. Louis County Police said Benson’s son, Jerron Benson, 33, also is being sought for participating in the assault, police said. Lagrand Benson told police the man threatened his family. St. Louis County Police said that the man was sitting in his car when Lagrand and Jerron Benson approached his car outside 314 Hair Gallery. They had a tire iron and a bat. Man Faces Charge of Hitting Girlfriend In Head With 2X4

The Florissant man also was indicted for assaulting another man during the incident.

A Florissant man was indicted by a St. Louis grand jury Jan. 30 on charges of second-degree assault, third-degree assault and armed criminal action. Florissant Police said Kevin Booker, 46, hit his girlfriend in the head with a 2X4 at the couple’s home in the 2700 block of Countryside Drive in Florissant Dec. 14. He also is accused of punching a man during the same altercation. Booker is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $35,000, cash-only bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 19. Man Stabs 11-Year-Old in Leg During TV Remote Argument, Police Say

Ferguson Police said the assault was between 3:15 and 4:35 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 9200 block of Ellison Avenue in Ferguson.

A 41-year-old man stabbed his 11-year-old cousin in the leg with a knife Thursday as the two argued over the television remote control, police said. Ferguson Police said the assault was between 3:15 and 4:35 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 9200 block of Ellison Avenue in Ferguson. Alfonzo Brankley, 41, of the 2300 block of Shirley Avenue in Jennings, was charged Friday with second-degree assault and armed criminal action. Brankley was being held Friday by Ferguson Police. North County Man Charged in Sunswept Apartment Shooting

St. Louis County Police said Lonnie L. Brown shot at and hit a man in the lower right back at the apartment complex in August.

A man was charged in an Aug. 6 shooting at Sunswept Apartments in North County. St. Louis County Police said Lonnie L. Brown, 29, shot at and hit man at Sunswept Apartments at about 7:58 p.m. Aug. 6. Brown, of the 2500 block of Woodsage Drive, was charged Wednesday with first-degree assault with serious physical injury and armed criminal action. St. Louis County Police said Brown knocked on an door at he apartment complex in the 3100 block of Sunswept Park Drive where the victim was visiting. The two men walked down a flight of steps in the building. Police said Brown then pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the man and fired a shot. Florissant Man Hits Robbery Victim in Head With Bat, Takes Cell Phone

The victim needed staples to close a gash in his head from the attack, police said.

A Florissant man hit a robbery victim in the head twice with an aluminum baseball bat before taking his cell phone, Hazelwood Police said. Police said Aaron Lawson, 20, followed the man to his residence Dec. 3 in the 1600 block of Ville Cecilia Lane in Hazelwood. Lawson attacked the resident when he got out of his car. Lawson also punched the man in the face, police said. Hazelwood Police said the man knew Lawson. The victim needed staples to close a gash in his head, according to a police report. A Spanish Lake man faces a criminal charges for trying to slash another man on New Years Day in his home. Michael Hamblin, 44, of the 125.00 block of James Patrick Lane was charged Wednesday with second-degree assault. St. Louis County Police said Hamblin slashed a large knife toward another man’s midsection on Jan. 1, attempting to cut him. Hamblin was being held in St. Louis County jail on Friday. Robbers Shot Dellwood Man During Drug Deal, Police Say

Two 17-year-old North County men shot the victim, took his money and cell phone during a drug transaction Dec. 23, according to a St. Louis County Police report.

Two North County men robbed and shot a Dellwood resident during a drug deal Dec. 23, St. Louis County Police said. Police said that Kai Bowers, 17, of the 4300 block of Vandals Drive south of Black Jack, arranged on Facebook to meet the victim to sell him drugs. Bowers went to the home in the 1600 block of Chesley drive in Dellwood with Dion Price, 17, of the 5200 block of Abington Drive in Black Jack. When Bowers and Price arrived at the home, Price pulled out a handgun and asked for the money. When the victim refused, Price shot him in the leg, according to the St. Louis County Police report. Family Fingered Following Funeral Almost $7,000 was reported stolen after a Barnhart woman invited family members over to her house after her husband's funeral on Nov. 10. Florissant Man Injured at Washer Tournament Taken Off Life Support, Friends Say

After an altercation at a local bar last Thursday, Randy Feger has been removed from life support, and his friends and family want to know why the suspects are still walking free.

A Florissant man was in critical condition after he fought with a Hazelwood man during a washer tournament at a local pub last week. Randy Feger, a father-of-four who lives in Florissant, reportedly had a physical confrontation with the 37-year-old Hazelwood man at Pirate’s Cove Bar & Grill on Thursday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Feger’s acquaintance called the Florissant Police Department after the incident, Officer Andy Haarmann told the Post, adding that Ferger sustained a serious head injury during the altercation. Florissant Police presented the case to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office on Saturday, and the agency has taken the case under advisement pending further investigation. Burglar Threatened to Shoot Homeowner Who Grabbed His Partner, Police Say

The 17-year-old man and his juvenile co-defendant were caught and identified later, Florissant Police said.

A Florissant homeowner grabbed a juvenile who was trying to leave his home through a window while carrying a television Oct. 29 in the 3000 block of Blackwood Drive. Another man leaned inside the window and threatened to shoot the homeowner if he did not let the juvenile go. Ronnell Bryant, 17, of the 2800 block of Countryside in Florissant, was charged Tuesday with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault. The homeowner later identified Bryant and the juvenile, Florissant Police said. The juvenile also has been charged. Bail for Bryant was set at $35,000.
