Jesse D. Adkins is charged with robbing a North County Subway restaurant at gunpoint on March 18.
A North County man is accused of holding up a restaurant on Parker Road in North County. Jesse D. Adkins, 18, of the 6700 block of Culpepper Court in North County just east of Black Jack, was charged Monday with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. St. Louis County Police said Adkins went into a Subway restaurant at 6805 Parker Road at 11:25 a.m. March 18 and told the clerk not to make any false moves. He pulled out a silver handgun and pointed it at the worker, according to a court document. Adkins told the worker to put cash into a bag that contained some cookies and left with about $300, police said. Police said Adkins was identified as the robber. The suspect took the 63-year-old woman's purse and then fled in her car. Police later spotted the vehicle, chased it into North County and arrested four juveniles.
A 63-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint Friday night at a parking garage at River City Casino at 777 River City Casino Dr. The woman told St. Louis County police that the suspect displayed a gun and took her purse and 2012 Hyundai Sonata. She and her 61-year-old friend were not injured, police said. Information on the vehicle was broadcast to surrounding police departments. Police later spotted the vehicle, chased it into unincorporated North County and arrested four juveniles, who were taken to the St. Louis County Juvenile Justice Center. The stolen items were recovered, but gun was not found at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate.

Police said three people robbed the Wing Stop in Florissant Sept. 6, stealing about $2,000. The following people were charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action in the incident: Bateman also was charged with first-degree burglary and a second count of armed criminal action. Florissant Police said that one of the accused said Tompkins drove the car while Bateman and Nowden went to the rear of Wing Stop at 8222 North Lindbergh Blvd. and knocked on the door. When the door was opened, they forced their way in. Bateman had a handgun and demanded money, police said. A St. Louis County man was charged with robbing a Bridgeton resident at gunpoint in an apartment stairwell June 15. The St. Louis County Prosecutor’s office filed first-degree robbery and armed criminal action charges June 19 against Ryan McCuller-Hinds, 20, of the 11200 block of Ruesta Drive in unincorporated North County. Bridgeton Police said in a report that McCuller-Hinds and another person robbed the victim at gunpoint on a building stairwell at Bridgeport Crossing Apartments in the 3900 block of Brittany Circle. They took $250 cash and the victim’s cell phone. McCuller-Hinds is being held in St. Louis County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
