The 46-year-old man lost control of the car due to a medical condition, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
A Florissant man was seriously injured in a car accident Thursday morning around 5:40 a.m., according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Alton L. Thomas, 46, was traveling southbound on I-270 in his 1998 Honda Acccord when police say he lost control of the vehicle due to a medical condition. The car veered off the right side of the roadway and struck the guardrail, police said. Thomas was taken to a to Mercy Hospital and his vehicle was towed.
