Florissant Police Prepare to Teach Safety to Kids

Police Department hosts its 16th annual Safety Town event for kids.

If you’re looking to teach your child about safety, then the ’s Safety Town might be right up your alley.

For the 16th year, the department has offered this program for 4, 5 and 6-year-old children to be taught safety procedures by a Florissant police officer.

The topics covered include, walking safety, bicycle/tricycle safety, school bus safety, poison safety, playground safety, stranger danger and tool and toy safety.

Children learn through classroom interaction and interactive play in a miniature town.

The program will be comprised of a two-week session starting June 18. The program will be daily for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon.

Children can be registered at the . Registration deadline is June 13.
