Florissant Has Cooling Stations for Residents to Beat the Heat

Make sure you get out of the summer sun Friday with the cooling centers help.

Temperatures continue to keep residents sweating and seeking cool places in Florissant Friday.

The National Weather Service forecasts a temperature of 108 degrees for the Florissant area, and the triple digits don’t have plans to leave the area anytime soon.

In order to stay cool and safe in this weather, we’re reminding residents that there are cooling centers as well as designations in the area.

The has designated the and as cooling stations. The Eagan Center will be open until 9 p.m. Friday and throughout the weekend. The JFK Center will be open until 9 p.m. Friday and until 5 p.m. throughout the weekend.

In addition, the United Way have designated the and branches as places to stay cool.

Cindy, My (93 old) mom lives in the Walnut grove neighborhood and just got her phone back yesterday.Read More Florissant told her they would NOT come by. There are several neighbors with mounds of limbs on Milbank and Wadsworth. This has to be an error. Can you followup on this?
