Florissant Fourth of July Proceeds as Normal

Residents can expect the concert, fireworks to go off without a hitch.

The ’s skies will light up on the Fourth of July, according to a press release from Mayor Tom Schneider’s office.

“This decision was based upon the extra precautions being taken for the safety of the community that include the staging of a fire pumper, extra police patrols in the neighborhoods, and additional city and pyrotechnic employees in the immediate area,” the press release states.

Deputy Chief Scott Seppelt said that the department will have a presence and will be watering the grass of the grounds preceding the fireworks show.
