McCluer North, Hazelwood Central look to be on a collision course to meet in basketball's district championship game.

For the Suburban North Conference, a cross-town rivalry seems to be the likely outcome for Saturday’s district championship game, which would decide who heads to Columbia, MO next week.

is the top seed in District 2 with a 25-1 overall record. The only loss for the Suburban North Conference champions came against a Metro Catholic Conference school as it lost to CBC. and are seeded second and third, respectively in District 2. McCluer, which is 18-9, lost to Hazelwood Central 65-61 on Jan. 6 while McCluer North, which is 22-4, fell to the Hawks 81-63 on Feb. 7.

If Hazelwood Central wins its game against Normandy Wednesday night, then it will face either McCluer North or McCluer on Saturday at noon.
