McCluer North Starts Search for Next Head Basketball Coach

The district has the job posted to internal candidates currently.

Although the St. Louis Community College has picked up a men’s basketball coach to its roster, McCluer North High School has only just begun a search for its next coach.

Late last month, Reed announced he would leave the Stars to become the next head coach for St. Louis Community College, following Randy Albrecht.

Ferguson-Florissant School District spokeswoman Jana Shortt said that the district is in the early phases of the job posting as it has been posted internally. She said in an email to Patch that the district would look for a qualified candidate in the district, and if that doesn’t pan out, the position will be opened to external candidates.

Reed led the Stars to three state championships--2007, 2011, 2012.

Shortt said the district plans to have the position filled by the beginning of the school year.
