HSEMS will hosted 100 teens from across North County during this weekend’s basketball clinic. Sign-ups for the clinic were completed in advance through the club.

Beal started the session off with a little pep-talk and then divided the group into six smaller teams. Each team rotated around the gymnasium to one of six stations. Stations covered various activities such as, shooting jump shots, practicing lay-ups, playing defense, dribbling, warm-up exercise and going one-on-one against Beal. This appeared to be the favorite of the clinic.

The basketball clinic was divided into two sessions. The first session was dedicated to middle school students and the second was exclusively for high school students.

At the end of the event, each student was given an autographed photo of Beal, a miniature basketball and for those who excelled during the clinic they were also given a commemorative NBA Washington Wizards’ necklace.
