Two Hazelwood Principals Promoted to Assistant Superintendents

Walker Elementary principal Eric Arbetter and Northwest Middle School principal Willicia Hobbs will be promoted after two assistant superintendents step down.

The Hazelwood Board of Education approved the promotion of two district principals to assistant superintendent positions last week, according to a press release.

Walker Elementary principal Eric Arbetter and Northwest Middle School principal Willicia Hobbs will take assistant superintendent positions, beginning July 1.

Both will take the positions held by current assistant superintendents Darrell Strong and Steve Sandbothe. Strong will focusing his energy in the position of director of alternative education as he would like to spend more time with his twin sons, who attend Hazelwood Central High School. Sandbothe will be stepping down to retire and has been a part of the district since 1995.
