Fewer Ferguson-Florissant Board Members to Attend National Conference

The Board of Education decided Wednesday night to send only two board members to the National School Boards Association conference in Boston next month.

The board unanimously approved Charles Henson and Robert Chabot as the attendees for this year’s conference.

“We’re trying to be good stewards of the school district’s and taxpayers' money,” board president Leslie Hogshead said following the vote.

Last year, the Post-Dispatch reported that the charges accrued came from hotel-room movies, laundry tickets, dinners and fines for in-room smoking.

Former board member John Knowles resigned amidst the controversy.
