St. Louis Rams to Teach Brown Elementary Students Good Eating, Activity Habits

Two St. Louis Rams players will visit students at Brown Elementary on Tuesday to offer tips, advice and hands-on lessons about eating healthy and staying active.

Brown Elementary students will be treated to a special lesson on eating right and leading an active lifestyle at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday thanks to a new youth initiative launched by the St. Louis Rams, along with their partner Schnucks.

Two Rams players will be on hand to inspire and teach students to be healthier, including guard Rokevious Watkins and wide receiver Nick Johnson.

Together, the Rams and Schnucks created Rams ReciPEs, which is designed “to increase awareness and interest among area youth in eating right and leading a healthy lifestyle,” according to a press release from the organization.

The Rams ReciPEs program works to expose kids to healthy eating habits in a fun and engaging environment. The program also includes a fitness component that allows kids to work out with Rams players. They also have the opportunity to learn how to make healthy snacks for themselves.

The Rams’ program was launched in collaboration with the NFL’s PLAY 60 initiative.

Brown students will be the second group of local students to participate in Rams ReciPEs. Students at McCurdy Elementary experienced the program in November.
