Hazelwood Central Robohawks Headed to FIRST Robotics World Championship

For the third year in the row, the Robohawks will attempt to come out on top of their national competition.

The Hazelwood Central Robohawks will head to the floor of the Edward Jones Dome for the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics World Championship for the third consecutive year this month.

The Robohawks qualified and advanced following the FIRST Robotics Competition Cincinnati regional in late March.

The FIRST Robotics Competition focuses on teams of students using math and science concepts to design, build and program robots that will compete in an alliance against other teams.

Last year, the team finished with a ranking of 29 and a record of 4-5.

The team will head to the world championships with the Hazelwood West team. The competition takes place April 24-27 at the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis.Β
