Hazelwood Central Hires New Principal

Bruce Green has been hired as the new principal of the high school.

Hazelwood Central Senior High School will have a new Hawk leader for 2013-2014 school year.

Hazelwood School District Board of Education hired Bruce Green, principal of Carnahan High School in St. Louis Public Schools, to take over the helm for the school.

He has more than 12 years of educational experience and has served as principal of Carnahan since 2009. In that time, U.S. News and World Report Best High Schools in the nation ranked Carnahan at No. 23 in Missouri.

“I am pleased with the experience in improving academic achievement that Dr. Green brings to Hazelwood Central High School,” said Superintendent Dr. Grayling Tobias. “I look forward to working collaboratively with Dr. Green and the HCHS staff and community in making improvements for our students.”

Green is the third principal for the high school in the past four years.
