Ferguson-Florissant Voters Prepare for Aug. 6 Ballot Initiative

With days until the election, find out what Proposition A could do for schools and the community -- good and bad.

Aug. 6, Ferguson-Florissant voters will head to the polls to decide the fate of the district's financial state.Β

Proposition A would increase a tax levy by 75 cents per $100 assessed valuation to help the district’s general operating expenses, according to a district press release. This breaks down to $5.49 for residential and commercial property as well as for personal property.

The district currently faces a $4 million shortfall in its 2013-2014 budget, and the proposition could be a saving grace.Β
