Ferguson-Florissant Welcomes Several New Administrators

With Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education Art McCoy set to take the reins in July, he announced new administrators who will be joining him in his new position on Wednesday. 

Superintendent steps down on June 30 after working for the district for the past 35 years. 

McCoy made a presentation to the Ferguson-Florissant Board of Education Wednesday night on the newly selected administrators for the coming school year.

McCoy announced the following as new administrators:

• –Director of Secondary Education

• Gary Spiller-Interim Principal,

• Alice Aldridge-Director of School Turnaround and Compliance

• Janet Walker-Interim Principal, Bermuda Elementary School

• Barbara Zigrang-Director of Elementary Education, currently Director of Federal Programs and Early Childhood Education in the

• Karen Collins-Principal, McCluer South-Berkeley High School, currently Assistant Professor at Harris-Stowe State University and a former elementary and high school principal in New Orleans before and after Hurricane Katrina

• Donald Frazier-Assistant Principal, High School

Whitesell has been the principal of McCluer High School for the past 12 years and was recently named Principal of the Year by the St. Louis Association of Secondary School Principals.

Spiller has previously served as assistant principal of McCluer North. Walker served as assistant principal of Commons Lane Elementary before being appointed to inerim principal. Aldridge has been the principal of Bermuda Elementary School in the Ferguson-Florissant school district.

Frazier served as associate principal of McCluer South-Berkeley High School. All appointments will go into effect on July 1.
