Ferguson-Florissant's Newest Board Member Gets Right to Work

Brian Scott Ebert jumps into the "deep end of the pool" to join Schroeder and others on the school board.

Schroeder held on to his seat, while Ebert earned his seat by winning with 2,566 and 2,809 votes, respectively.

Ebert and Schroeder were both on their way to meet with the board and catch Ebert up on some of his new responsibilities and training he would need to get done.

Ebert said that Tuesday night was an unbelievable night and that even with a lot of work ahead of him, he’s recovering from the long election night.

“I’ve been on both sides of the coin, I’ve won and loss,” he said Wednesday afternoon. “The line that ‘it feels a lot better to win,’ is so true.”

Despite feeling a little discouraged at the beginning of Tuesday night, Ebert said he’s excited to work with and the rest of the board.

Schroeder shared similar sentiments.

“Scott will fit in well with our board, and we’re excited to have him,” he said. “I think he’ll make a good replacement for Brian (Fletcher).”

Schroeder said that his focus as he enters his third term on the board is to continue the district’s move up the ladder to meet more and more standards for accreditation.
