St. Louis County Selects Rosemary Davison for Bicentennial Citizen Honor
The Florissant resident and historian was selected for the honor out of thousands of residents.
St. Louis County recently celebrated its bicentennial anniversary earlier this month, and one of Florissant’s favorite residents got a chance to be a part of it.
Rosemary Davison was chosen to receive a proclamation on behalf of all St. Louis County residents during the celebration.
Davison means a lot to Florissant as she has had a hand in writing the city charter; held the office of city clerk for 17 years; established the Old Town Florissant Historic District and founded Historic Florissant.

Davison was chosen out of more than 990,000 residents in the St. Louis County area for the honor.
Mayor Tom Schneider said in a release that he congratulates St. Louis County Government on the celebration of 200 years of progress and he endorses the choice of Florissant’s resident Historian Rosemary Davison to receive the proclamation recognizing this milestone.
