“Right now, I want to look at the next 15 years,” she said Tuesday night. “I think I’ve done a good job and learned a great deal.”

But McKay assures residents that she’ll be far out of the public eye.

“I’m not going anywhere,” she said. “I’m looking forward to helping with other campaigns.”

She’s not put the thought out of her mind of running for another position either, as she told Florissant Patch that she’s considering a run for mayor in 2014.

She also believes that the council is being left in good hands.

“They have a good council,” she said. “They will do good in the next couple of years.”

For Pagano, she said she’s excited to bring her energy to Ward 7 and the council.

“I hope I can bring new life,” she said.
