“Support for public education is a cornerstone of every successful community,” he said in the release. “Our citizens have consistently taken responsibility for the welfare of our children and given our schools the resources they need to prepare the good citizens of tomorrow. I support and am confident that the voters in Florissant and the other jurisdictions in the Ferguson Florissant School District will demonstrate their support for our children by supporting Proposition A on August 6.”

Londoff said in the release that education has remained a vital priority to his family and the community.

“For the past 51 years, Johnny Londoff Chevrolet has been supporting the education of local high school seniors with scholarships to the college of their choice,” he said in the release. “I, like my late father, understand that a strong school system is key to the economic success of any community.  I support the passage of Ferguson-Florissant Proposition A on August 6.”

Without the proposition, the district would continue to face as much as an $8 million deficit and would look at cutting other services to move closer to the black. If approved, the proposition would generate $6 million and a $1.8 million surplus.
