Florissant Man Indicted on Fraudulently Receiving Unemployment Benefits
Reginald Owens received more than $18,500 in unemployment benefits, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office of Eastern Missouri indicted six men, including one Florissant man, Friday for receiving unemployment benefits while being employed.
Reginald T. Owens, of Florissant, as well as Bryan Cobbs, Pamela Lee Clark, Monique D. Faulkner, Mark D. Merriwether and Derek A. Shaeffer have been charged with one felony count of theft of government property.
Owens received more than $18, 600 in state and federal unemployment benefits, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

If convicted, each one could face 10 years in prison as well as fines up to $250,000.
