Florissant City Council seats will be up for election in April 2012.
As 2011 draws to a close, some in Florissant have begun to look ahead to 1012. Especially in regards to the election cycle.
Filing for Florissant City Council seats in the odd wards -- 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 -- begins Jan. 3. Interested parties should pick up petition packets from .

- 200 signatures from within that ward
- Registered voter in that ward for one year
The election will be held April 3, 2012. Filing for the seats will close Jan. 17.
