Florissant City Council Looks at Walmart, Park Police Bills

The council will have first readings on the two bills tonight.

The Florissant City Council will have its first reading on a proposed amendment for the Walmart development Monday night.

During its March 25 meeting, the council held a public hearing with petitioner and THF Realty representative Jeff Otto about the amendment.

Otto said they were proposing to change the rotation of the store, which includes the following changes:

  • Increases the size of the store by 4,000 square feet;
  • Deletes the pharmacy drive-thru
  • Provides a full masonry front facade

Otto also said a Transportation Development District (TDD) would finance the site. The Walmart is proposed for 3350 and 3400 N. Highway 67 and 3605 Seville.

The council will also have a first reading on a proposed pay plan change for a part-time park police officer.
